Equipment

Ingredients  

  • 500 g ground lean meat
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup onions finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt omit for babies < 12m old
  • 1 tbsp olive oil to grease the skillet

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients together and use your hands to combine until the mixture is smooth.
  • With the hands wet, mold each mini hamburger. Use 1-2 tbsp for each, make a ball and then using the palm of you hand press down each ball to make the hamburger patties.

Cooking on a skillet

  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add someolive oil to grease.
  • Grill both sides of the hamburger patties untilfully cooked (internal temperature 170F).

Baking in the oven

  • Pre-heat oven to 375F.
  • Grease a large baking sheet or add parchmentpaper.
  • Add the baby hamburgers and spray with olive oravocado oil.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes, until the internaltemperature has reached 170F.

Air Fryer

  • Spray olive or avocado oil to the air fryer basket.
  • Add hamburgers, spray with olive oil.
  • Air fry at 375F for about 7-8 minutes.

Notes

  • Nutrition data is per serving.
  • Serve as a desconstructed hamburger to babies (6+ months) or add to a hamburger bun.
  • When offering to babies <12m old, make sure that the baby has already been exposed to the individual ingredients as there are allergens in this recipe (egg and sesame seeds).; and no salt is added.
  • Recipe can be made into mini hamburgers or regular size.
