Ingredients To Make the Cutest Halloween Snack Board
You will need these simple ingredients to make this cute festive Halloween snack board. Start by selecting easy and color-themed (orange, black, green, and white) Halloween snacks.
- Blue corn tortilla chips: These are baked and super crunchy, a healthier option than other chips, and have the perfect color for a festive Halloween charcuterie board.
- Guacamole: Store-bought or make it homemade (add some candy eyes for a spooky twist).
- Mini sweet orange peppers: Cut into fingers.
- Clementine oranges: Peel and add something brown or green on top to resemble a pumpkin. For green, you can use celery or green onions; for brown, you can use pretzel sticks.
- Oranges: cut into wedges.
- Candy eyes: To make spooky babybel spiders and guacamole.
- Pretzel sticks: to make spider legs and pumpkin stems.
- Babybel cheese: used to make spiders and cheese monsters.
- Chocolate chips: used to make spider eyes.
- Blueberries and blackberries: Added some fresh fruit for a healthier board.
- Oreos: Regular Oreos will be perfect! I Avoid using Halloween Oreos with orange filling due to its artificial coloring.
How to Make a Halloween Snack Board
This is how I made this easy Halloween Board, but feel free to use your creativity and have fun creating your own! You can make a large platter or a small board for your next Halloween party.
- In a large cutting board, place the larger items first: the guacamole, peppers, orange wedges, and blueberry/blackberry bowls.
- Add the blue corn tortillas as a base, followed by the Oreos. Make sure these smaller items cover the entire board with no empty spaces.
- Make the cheese monsters using kitchen scissors and spiders using babybel cheese, pretzels, and chocolate.
- Spread the babybel spiders and cheese monsters on the board.
- If desired, decorate with Halloween items such as plastic spiders, skeleton hand, and small pumpkins.
Recipe Tips
- I always like to add a mix of healthier foods and sweet treats for a balanced snack board.
- Use any cutting board to create a fun Halloween snack: wood, marble, or a large baking sheet. You can also get creative using different shapes: rectangles, squares, and rounds. For this Halloween-themed board, I used a large rectangular wood board.
- Create a list of color-themed items to use in your snack board. For example, a Halloween snack board with black, orange, green, and white being the main colors.
- After deciding on the colors, think about your favorite items to add and create a grocery list. Think about what needs to go into bowls, and make sure you have matching bowls.
- Spread all purchased items on a table and start building the themed board. Large items go first and then start adding the snacks, mixing up colors, and making sure there are no spaces left.
- Once the food items are placed, finish the Halloween-themed board, adding a few decorations such as plastic spiders, skulls, and happy Halloween signs!
