Greek Yogurt Pizza Dough
Pizza in minutes? Yes, please! Sometimes, moms need a quick and easy meal for their little ones, and this is the perfect one! This recipe uses Greek yogurt, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Roll out the dough, add your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings, and bake!
There are many Greek yogurt dough recipes on the internet, and I have tested all the ratios, and this is the BEST! It doesn’t get sticky, you can shape easily, and the crust has the best texture when baked.
Is Greek Yogurt Pizza Baby-Friendly?
Babies under 12 months of age should not have any added salt to their diets. Therefore, this recipe is better suited to babies and toddlers over one year old. However, suppose you are offering this meal to older toddlers and have a baby over nine months. In that case, you can modify it by skipping the salt and making sure that you use low-sodium cheese such as mozzarella and fresh tomatoes instead of pizza sauce (that has typically added salt). Then, your baby can enjoy this healthy homemade pizza with his/her siblings!

Recipe Ingredients
To make this yogurt pizza dough recipe, you will need these healthy, simple ingredients:
- Plain Greek yogurt: Use whole milk, unsweetened. The yogurt must be thick! Regular yogurt will not work in this recipe using the same ratios described.
- All-purpose flour: I use plain all-purpose flour because that is what I have in the pantry. But if you have self-rising flour, skip adding the baking powder!
- Salt
- Baking powder: Yes, this recipe uses regular baking powder. No yeast is required!
- Tomato sauce: I love using this one for babies and toddlers, as no sugar is added!
- Shredded cheese: Mozzarella cheese is our favorite.
- Toppings: Shredded zucchini, steamed broccoli, olives, sliced peppers, mushrooms, Italian seasoning, oregano, or any of your favorite pizza toppings!

- Add Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until the dough forms.
- Finish mixing with your hands until the dough is elastic and non-sticky (it may seem dry initially, but keep mixing!).
- Split the dough ball into four equal parts for individual pizzas, eight parts for mini lunchbox-sized pizzas, or make a large pizza.

Serving Suggestions and Substitutions
Serve this Greek yogurt pizza with a side of fruits or veggies for a healthy and satisfying meal!
Below, you will find a list of substitutions that will work in this pizza recipe:
- Greek yogurt: I use full-fat Greek yogurt, but you can replace it with fat-free Greek yogurt without any issues. Do not use regular yogurt; it won’t work!
- Flour: This recipe calls for all-purpose flour. I have tried using whole wheat, but the dough was tough, and I wouldn’t say I liked the result. If you wish to use whole wheat flour, replace a maximum of ½ of the flour in this recipe.
Frequently Asked Questions
I did test replacing Greek yogurt with sour cream, but I did not like the taste—it was too tangy!
Due to its salt content, this recipe can be offered to babies and toddlers over 12 months of age. However, if you wish to make a dough without salt and with age-appropriate toppings, you may offer it to babies and toddlers from 9 months of age.
Pre-prepare the pizza dough and refrigerate it in a Ziploc bag or plastic wrap for up to 24 hours. Once ready to use, let it reach room temperature (about 20 minutes) and proceed with the recipe instructions.
You can prepare the pizza, bake it, and let it cool completely. When ready to use, bake until the cheese has melted.
